for this final tuesday preceding the album's release, i've thrown the full album version of 'one sixty' up on myspace (finally). go have a listen, tell all your friends. also, 'catch me if you can' has been set as downloadable on myspace, also on last.fm. grab it, share it, my gift to you - spread the good word, friends, every little bit helps.

and if you do feel inclined as to download the tune and pass it along to a friend somewhere, feel free to share with them this little tidbit: the online mailorder store is now open for pre-orders. poke your nose on over in the 'releases' section, or follow the direct link on the front page.

i am looking ridiculously forward to the release shows! james has done up a snazzy-lookin' poster which you'll find in the 'shows' section of the webpage and as our display picture on myspace, feel free to plaster that anywhere and everywhere. they will be fantastic shows, played with fantastic bands, and i hope you're able to be part of the biggest weekend of my life to date.

first - protest the hero played brilliantly on sunday night, and they are the sweetest guys, to boot. rody and i chatted technique and crazy opera coaches, and he had some fun road stories to tell. our local boys did not dissapoint in the least, i might add, conspire, in particular, i thought, fuckin' owned their set at the clb.

secondly - it's a tuesday. updates! 'the chase' is now spinning away contentedly on the myspace player. give 'er a whirl.

cheers to everyone who tuned in on sunday for 'under the influence', but if you missed it - you get a brief reprieve - jamie and i are going to appear on newfound underground this thursday night at 9pm. expect gentle ribbing, more tuuuuunes, maybe an acoustic performance? maybe recipe swapping? you never know with us.

i just did an interview for the telegram, i believe that will run this friday or next.

the release date is two weeks away. my goodness. there is still so much to do!

the good news that i've been sitting on for a little while is now yours to keep: the album is being pressed, as we speak, the release date is set, and the release shows booked.

september 9 - Distortion, 3PM, ALL AGES

Conspire The Wake will be playing both shows, Melaena are playing the all ages, I'm waiting on confirmation of one band for the bar show, and I may add someone on the AA.
Both shows will be $5 admission, $15 with a CD and a button (that's a little thank you for coming out and showing your support)

i'll be featured on k-rock this weekend, on sunday night's 'under the influence' segment with stephanie o'brien. the show airs at 11PM, and you'll get a chance to hear five of the tracks off the new album, a few old favorites of mine, and some witty (and sometimes revealing) banter.

as for the myspace page, i've got something in mind, leading up to the album - it's three weeks to the release, today, so I'm going to be adding one new tune every week until the album's in stores. 'catch me if you can' is ready to spin, so go have a listen.

this is crunch time, darlings. any and all help is appreciated, please come down to the release shows, drag a friend along, and by all means, spread the word. it's been coming for a few years now, and i can't believe it's actually upon me. you're all fabulous and i love you.

k-rock today was a blast! stephie's a sweetheart, check her out most weekends down at club one with miss.conduct. my 'under the influence' segment will air sunday, aug 19th @ 11pm.

putting more hours into the site than probably aught to have gone in, but i'm slow at this, and it keeps me busy.

signed off on artwork today, the damn thing's finally gone to press. this is unbelievable, it becomes very real, even before the end of the month. what the shit.
