summertime (and the livin' is easy)

hey guys (gals!)

we've been keeping kind of quiet over the summer as i've been holed up finishing the writing of the new record (exciting stuff!) and working on some plans and some plans and then more writing and plans and maybe sleep? it's been a busy time.

all that said, though, i wanted to drop a line to make sure you guys know of a couple shows we will have coming up in the month of august - next saturday we're playing a rare all-ages gig at distortion with friends of ours from halifax, shelter with thieves. great guys, great band - great excuse to come down and check out some cool tunes on a saturday afternoon, it's a pretty diverse line-up, and we're pleased as punch to've been asked to play.

we'd be utterly remiss, mind you, if we neglected to host one more big blow-out at the rock house before the end of the summer. This will likely be catcher's last gig in town before the fall tour, as i've got to finish the last bits of writing for the album and then i'll have a new band to rehearse for tour, so we're looking forward to seeing everyone there - we've got a fantastic new group called repartee (pet project of megan warren, as accompanied by chad murphy, paddy byrne, and andrew mccarthy!) on board to open the night, and I'll do up the event and start promo in earnest once the rest of the line-up is finalized. in the meantime, however, friday august 21st - mark your calendars!
